Harold Annegarn is a physics graduate of the Wits University. His research interests include urban and global atmospheric pollution, satellite remote sensing, impacts of mining, energy efficiency in low-cost housing, and improved domestic combustion stoves.

I have a PhD in Human Geography with focus on urban research sustainability on social justice as a key tool to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs) as defined in Agenda 2030. Joel aspires to contribute onto the achievement of SDGs aspirations through the implementation of inclusive urban policies and everyday practices for all inhabitants to get access to the opportunities of the city. He is engaged through his work against any type of urban marginalization affecting the quality of life of all citadins. He is a highly skilled researcher with a vast fieldwork experience. He conducted over 20 environmental impacts assessment and monitoring studies on air pollutants and noise in various projects in Africa (mines, occupational and domestic exposure, construction and highway).

I have been with Tshwarisanang Environmental Pro-Re-Active Safety Mentors of RSA(TEPRASM) since 2006 till to date. I was the administrator of the organisation until i was appointed in 2022 to be the secretary of the Board of directors of the NPO. I have a proven ability to manage my secretarial duties efficiently and effectively , and take great pride in my work.
